Retention of zirconia crowns to Ti-base abutments: effect of luting protocol, abutment treatment and autoclave sterilization.

چکیده

Purpose: To evaluate the influence of resin cement type, surface pretreatment and autoclave sterilization on retention Y-TZP crowns to Ti-base abutments. Methods: were designed milled fit Crowns cemented using either a conventional (conventional) with universal adhesive or self-adhesive (self-adhesive), both following no (No) abutment sandblasting (SB) (n=20/group). Half samples subjected in-office sterilization. Pullout testing was performed in machine at speed 1 mm/min until crown displacement. Data statistically evaluated through linear mixed model post hoc comparisons by LSD test. Results: data as function type demonstrated higher for relative (p < 0.001). favored retentiveness over No Sterilized exhibited pullout values than non-sterile (p=0.036). All two- three-factor interaction analyses corroborated superior strength compared (all, p 0.011), well as, SB 0.024). While maximized bond when (data collapsed pretreatment, 0.050) 0.013), significant difference observed (p=0.280) (p=0.878) groups. Conclusions: Conventional and/or increased retentiveness, Autoclaving used.

The Effect of Abutment Surface Roughness on the Retention of Implant-Supported Crowns Cemented with Provisional Luting Cement

Introduction: Surface roughness can increase the retention of castings by ridges and grooves that are microretentive. This study compared the retention of implant-supported crowns when used with 3 different surface roughness abutments and one temporary cement. Methods: Thirty solid abutments (ITI), 4 mm high, were divided into three groups randomly. In the first group, 10 abutments were roughen...

Fracture resistance of implant- supported monolithic crowns cemented to zirconia hybrid-abutments: zirconia-based crowns vs. lithium disilicate crowns

PURPOSE The aim of this in vitro study was to investigate the fracture resistance under chewing simulation of implant-supported posterior restorations (crowns cemented to hybrid-abutments) made of different all-ceramic materials. MATERIALS AND METHODS Monolithic zirconia (MZr) and monolithic lithium disilicate (MLD) crowns for mandibular first molar were fabricated using computer-aided design...

Retention of CAD/CAM all-ceramic crowns on prefabricated implant abutments: an in vitro comparative study of luting agents and abutment surface area.

PURPOSE Previous studies considering retention of cast metal restorations to implant abutments incorporated some degree of frictional fit due to internal surface nodules and roughness of the restoration. In comparison, CAD/CAM restorations have minimal surface irregularities, possibly impacting retention. There is insufficient knowledge of retentive force of CAD/CAM restorations to titanium abu...
